Speakers
Burton Folsom, Jr. is Historian in Residence at the Center for the American Idea. He received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Pittsburgh and has taught American history at the University of Pittsburgh, University of Nebraska, Northwood University, Hillsdale College, and Murray State University, where he was tenured full professor. Also he is the editor of Continuity: A Journal of History. He is the author of The Myth of the Robber Barons, Empire Builders, and Urban Capitalism, among other books.

Michael Bordelon is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Houston Baptist University. From 1979 - 1987, he served as chairman of the social studies program at St. Thomas Episcopal School in Houston, TX, while teaching a variety of courses in political science, history and economics at the school. Dr. Bordelon has also been an instructor at the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, TX, teaching public law and constitutional law, and has taught American politics as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Dallas campus in Rome, Italy. In 1983, Dr. Bordelon was a finalist for the Outstanding Teacher of Texas award, sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution in Houston. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. in politics and literature and his B.A. in political philosophy from the University of Dallas.
