John Willson retired in 2005, after thirty years as Professor of History at Hillsdale College in Michigan, having received many awards for teaching excellence. After receiving a B.A. from Hobart College and an M.A. in American Civilization from the University of Wyoming, he continued at Syracuse University to earn his Ph.D. in History. Prior to Hillsdale, he taught at Saint Louis University, SUNY Cortland, Syracuse University (evening college) and Perry, NY High School. His work has been published in Modern Age, Imprimis, and the University Bookman, and he contributed to Reflections on the French Revolution (Regnery Gateway, 1990). Dr. Willson is past President of the Philadelphia Society and gives speeches regularly to various groups.
