Dorothy Baker is Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Houston, where she has been since 1991. In the spring of 1992 Dr. Baker was a visiting professor at the Universitat Tubingen in Tubingen, Germany. She received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. Dr. Baker received her B.A. in French and Russian from Wells College in Aurora, New York and her M.A. in Comparative Literature at the University of Wisconsin.
