Benjamin G. Lockerd, Jr., is professor of English at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is the author of The Sacred Marriage: Psychic Integration in the Faerie Queene and Aethereal Rumours: T.S. Eliot's Physics & Poetics. He is currently on the board of directors of the T. S. Eliot Society. Dr. Lockerd received his M.A. from the University of Toronto and his Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from University of Connecticut.
