Joseph F. Rishel is Associate Professor of History at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Risehl has also taught at the University of Pittsburgh, the Community College of Allegheny County, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, and in the Pittsburgh Public School District. Dr. Rishel has served as the Editor of Pittsburgh Heritage: The Newsletter of the Committee on Pittsburgh Archaeology and History and as Assistant Editor of Continuity: A Journal of History. He received his Ph.D., M.L.S, and M.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and his B.S. from Duquesne University.
