Jada Thacker teaches military history and AP U.S. History at Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas. He received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington and his M.A. from Texas A&M University. Twice selected for Who's Who Among America's Teachers, he is a former Teacher of the Year and a distinguished alumnus of MMA. Before being commissioned as a naval officer, he served as a combat infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. He is the author of Finally, the Pawn, a novel based on his wartime experiences. His latest book is Choosers of the Slain, a fictionalized history of the battles of Thermopylae, Antietam and Stalingrad.
